We are proud to announce that we are launching a public affairs show on KUCI 88.9 FM in Irvine, California which will be co-hosted by Helena Carlson and Orbelin Portillo. Broadcasting begins April 6th, 2018 from 5:00 PM to 5:30 PM.

Our show can also accessed real-time on www.kuci.org, or through media platforms such as iTunes, Spotify and Overcast.

The goal of the InSight radio show, which will supplement the print publication, is to foster conversations on issues that are cross-sectional to poverty in the local sphere through guest speakers, and investigative stories. For example, some investigative stories include: the dislocation of homeless communities in Santa Ana, the corruption of guarantor laws that strip the elderly of financial independence and basic rights, and lastly, ones that capture the ongoing struggle immigrant families face amid poverty and deportation fears.

Our guest speaker on the very first show this week is Dave Min. Dave is running for the 45th congressional district this November against congresswoman Mimi Walters.
